Pravin is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of CipherCloud, driving the growth and culture of CipherCloud by managing its business, strategy, and execution. He founded CipherCloud in 2010 when he recognized that while the cloud was disrupting enterprise IT, the security technologies had not kept pace and enterprises were losing control over their sensitive information. Pravin launched the industry’s first CASB solution to address cloud security needs of businesses in February 2011, and since then he has led the CipherCloud team to deliver several innovative solutions and 20+ patents in the field of cloud security and information protection.
Pravin is a security visionary who has pioneered a number of innovative technology solutions during his 20 years of founding and building three industry-leading security companies. Prior to CipherCloud, Pravin was the Founder & CTO of RiskVision, a leading Security Risk Management company acquired by Resolver, and Co-founder & VP Engineering of ArcSight, which was acquired by HP for $1.6 billion. Previously, Pravin was Co-founder & Chief Architect at Impresse Corporation, and held technical leadership positions at Verity, Attachmate, and Tata Consultancy Services. Pravin holds dozens of patents in security technologies and is the inventor behind CipherCloud’s groundbreaking technology.
Pravin holds an MS degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Charter Member of TiE, a global organization dedicated to the advancement of entrepreneurship
Vice President - Sales
In his role as Vice President of Sales, Nick is responsible for delivering the global CipherCloud go to market strategy, directing the regional sales teams, and supporting our enterprise customer, strategic partner and reseller programs. In his role, Nick brings over 25 years of technology and sales management experience to help customers to deliver on their cloud transformation journeys in a secure way, by protecting sensitive data and meeting industry or regional regulations. Prior to CipherCloud, Nick has held senior global and EMEA sales management and business development positions with technology vendors focused on web security, compliance, and unified communications, including NextPlane, Actiance (formerly FaceTime), and Finjan Software. Whilst now resident in the UK, Nick’s career has seen him living in Silicon Valley, California, as well as Scandinavia. As a keen SCUBA diver and certified PADI Rescue Diver, Nick spends as much time under the water as time allows.
Chief Technology Officer
Sundaram heads engineering and technology at CipherCloud and is a business-savvy technologist, engineering leader, hands-on architect and an entrepreneur. He brings over 20+ years of network and security product development experience and has a successful track record of delivering innovative first-to-market and market-leading security products, as well as leading global engineering team. Sundaram holds multiple patents in the space and prior to CipherCloud he was the founder and CTO of Anicut Systems, a Distinguished Engineer at Juniper Networks, and held senior positions at Blue Coat (now Symantec). He holds a master’s degree from the National University of Singapore in computer and information sciences with a focus on networking and applied cryptography, as well as a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from REC (NIT) Trichy, India.
Vice President - Marketing
Salah is a seasoned marketing executive with 20+ years of experience in cybersecurity, networking, in enterprise and small to mid-markets. Currently, Salah is the VP of Marketing at CipherCloud responsible for branding, product marketing, demand generations and corporate marketing functions. Most recently he headed up enterprise security product marketing efforts at Symantec for 10+ product lines with global responsibility. Previous to Symantec, Salah has held marketing leadership roles in Product Marketing and Product Management at Cisco, Aruba, Netgear, and Netscout. Salah is passionate about creative marketing and helping companies accelerate growth at any stage
Vice President - Product & Solution Engineering
Mahesh Rachakonda brings more than 20 years of product, solutions engineering, cloud security, enterprise risk management and IT experience. He is passionate about security architecture and solving critical challenges for our customers. Prior to CipherCloud, he was a security architect and consultant advising fortune 100 companies. Mahesh led large scale IT projects handling PCI, consumer information and HIPAA data while ensuring compliance and regular audit. He holds a Masters in Computer Science and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering.
Global Head – Services, Support, Customer Success
Balaji heads the Global Customer Success, Services and Support organization at CipherCloud. He brings more than 20 years of experience in managing IT systems, applications and people across geographies. Earlier to CipherCloud, he worked at various companies in the US including Rovi Corporation (now Tivo), Adobe and ETrade. A CISSP professional, he holds a Masters degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from REC (National Institute of Technology) Bhopal, India
Global Director of Professional Services
David Anderson leads the Professional Services teams at CipherCloud with a primary focus to deliver value to the customer and ensure Customer Success. He brings over 20 years of software delivery and transformation experience in the Security, CRM, ERP, HRM and other Enterprise software across many industry sectors with a successful track record of delivering market-leading solutions to global organisations.
David began his career as a Business Systems Analyst and Software Developer, designing, developing and deploying engineering, financial and workflow systems. Prior to joining CipherCloud, David held senior positions at NetSuite and RSA Security. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours (Information Systems Management) degree from the University of Cape Town, a National Diploma in Financial & Management Accounting from Cape Peninsula University and studied management courses at the University of South Africa.

Ramesh Rathi manages CipherCloud operations in India and brings extensive global IT and business experience managing teams and customer success in multiple geographies including Australia, Canada, France, India, Singapore, USA and the UK. Ramesh brings strategic implementation and execution skills to product development and services organizations and has diverse domain experience in IT security, healthcare, public sector, retail, telecom, and transportation. He has led critical corporate initiatives including FDA assessments, ISO 9001, and ISO 27001 certification. Prior to CipherCloud, Ramesh was Head of Delivery – Healthcare Group for UST Global, CEO of India Operations for CompuGain, Senior VP for Satyam Computer Services, and VP of IT Outsourcing at Affiliated Computer Services (a Xerox company).

Thuy Nguyen is committed to ensuring Customer Success remains at CipherCloud’s core. She brings over 20 years of customer focused enterprise industry experience and has a demonstrated track record of delivering collaborative and successful outcomes by uniting all aspects of the role, from trusted advisor to business operations and renewals management. As a customer advocate for CipherCloud’s global customer portfolio, she is dedicated to providing value throughout the customer’s journey to strategically engage, retain, and scale positive customer experiences. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Thuy holds an M.B.A. degree as well as a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management and Information Systems from the University of Ottawa.

John M. Jack (JJ) has worked in the software industry since 1980 in sales, marketing, and executive management. Highlights include: CEO at Fortify Software (sold to Hewlett Packard) and CEO Covalent (sold to VMware). COO at The Vantive Corporation (public, sold to PeopleSoft), and executive positions at Sybase, Inc.
Since leaving Hewlett Packard in January of 2012, he has served as a consultant to start-up companies and their CEOs. JJ currently serves on a number of venture-backed company boards in the cyber-security and other segments. He is also a board partner at the VC firm Andreessen Horowitz.

Gilles is an industry luminary who pioneered ‘Software as a Service’ and ‘Security as a Service’ models in 1999 when he started Qualys (NASDAQ: QLYS), a leading Security as a Service company where he was the founder and CEO. In his CEO roles, he has driven revenue growth of several other US and European technology companies for 20+ years including NTR Global, Solsoft and MediaPath Technology. Previously, he served at Benchmark Capital as an EIR, and at Verity, a leading information search company, as the GM & VP of Europe.

Georg Schwegler joined the Transamerica Ventures team in September 2013 as the founding Managing Director/CEO. Prior to joining Transamerica, he was the CEO of T-Venture, the corporate venture unit of Deutsche Telekom and T-Mobile, where he established a broad network in the venture capital, start-up, and technology communities in Europe, the United States and Israel.
Georg has been in the venture capital industry for 14 years and has served on numerous boards in a supervisory board member or observer role. Before T-Venture, he led the central R&D and innovation program of Deutsche Telekom. Earlier in his career, he worked as a consultant in marketing and innovation research. Georg holds a PhD in business administration from the University of Cologne in Cologne, Germany.

Geoffrey is a partner at Delta Partners. He has worked in private equity for almost 20 years. His professional career includes leading significant buyout and growth capital transactions in the telecoms, media and digital (TMD) and consumer sectors. Geoffrey has a strong track record of significant value creation for his investors, including investments in challenging emerging markets environments.
Prior to joining Delta Partners, Geoffrey was at TPG Capital for ten years, during which time he played a leading role in several telecom infrastructure investments and also led coverage of the consumer goods and airline transportation sectors. He also served as a consultant and manager at McKinsey & Company in London and held roles in investment banking with Goldman Sachs and PaineWebber.
Geoffrey is a member of the New York Bar and has served on the Board of Directors of a number of public companies including Gemplus International SA, Gemalto NV, Eutelsat Communications SA, and Eden Springs Ltd., as well as having been a director of numerous private companies.

Matthew Green holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins Information Security Institute, where he teaches practical cryptography. He helped create Zerocoin, an extension that builds anonymity for use with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency transactions. Ramy Houssaini is an internationally recognized cybersecurity and risk management executive with experience in the financial services, consumer goods, telecom and healthcare industries. He is currently the Vice President of BT Security in Europe and previously headed Accenture’s cybersecurity practice and was Vice President for Global Risk Management at Visa. He is an active member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society and advises healthcare and technology companies on creating risk conscious cultures and effectively managing operational risks.

Gilles Samoun is the CEO at NTR Global in Barcelona, Spain. Prior to NTR Global, Gilles was Chairman and CEO of Solsoft. Previously, he served at Benchmark Capital as a member of its EIR team. Prior to Benchmark, he was the founder and CEO of Qualys, where he established the company as the leading global online security auditing service provider. Before founding Qualys, Gilles was the CEO of MediaPath Technologies, a LAN caching software company. He also spent five years at Verity, a leading provider of software solutions that power business portals, where he served as General Manager and Vice President for Europe. While at Verity, he successfully managed sales growth and developed the company’s European presence. Prior to Verity, Gilles Samoun held various technical leadership and management positions at Artefix and Fininfo.

Paul is a co-founder and board member of the Jericho Forum, the co-editor of the Cloud Security Alliance’s “Security Guidance for Critical Areas of Focus in Cloud Computing v3.0,” and a security consultant. Until recently, he was the global CISO of AstraZeneca, and prior to that the global CISO of ICI. Paul’s varied career has included electronic countermeasures, theatre and TV lighting, North Sea Oil control systems design, and network management for JET (Nuclear Fusion Research). He has also set up several commercial radio stations. Prior to his time at ICI, he was Head of Information Security with a high security European web hosting company, and before that spent seven years with Motorola as a global information security manager.
He has earned the “Chief Security Officer of the Year” and “Best Security Implementation” awards by SC Magazine, and has been listed twice in Network World’s “Most Powerful People in Networking.” In addition to the Jericho Forum, Paul sits on the advisory board of a number of leading-edge computing companies, as well as the Executive Advisory Board of ISSA UK. Chris Zoladz, CIPP, CIPP/G, CISSP, CISA, CPA, CGFM is the founder of Navigate LLC, a consulting company focused on providing comprehensive strategic and tactical information protection & privacy consulting services. Prior to founding Navigate in April 2009, Chris was the Vice President, Information Protection & Privacy at Marriott International, a function he created in 1999. In this role, Chris had responsibility for all global information protection & privacy activities including executive advocacy, policy, awareness programs, training, information mapping, risk assessment and remediation, and legal compliance, including PCI DSS. Chris and his team collaborated with management across all Marriott business units and departments to ensure that the company’s valuable information assets were identified, adequately protected, and leveraged for economic gain in a privacy-sensitive manner. Chris also served as Chair of the Information Security & Privacy Governance Committee and was a member of the eBusiness Council. Chris joined Marriott after a thirteen year career at Ernst & Young, where he last served as the Mid-Atlantic Area Office Director of IT Auditing and Security Services. In this role, Chris led a practice group focused on delivering high quality information systems audit and security consulting services to numerous clients in a multitude of industries. Chris also served on the Ernst & Young IT Assurance & Advisory Services Practice Management Committee. Chris is a past-president, treasurer and a founding board member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and recipient of the 2006 IAPP Vanguard Award as the Chief Privacy Officer of the Year. He was also a past member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Telecommunications and eCommerce Committee. He was named one of the top privacy advisors in 2010 by ComputerWorld. Chris is also a contributing author to the recently published book titled Building a Privacy Program: A Practitioner’s Guide.
