CipherCloud entered the market in 2011 with an industry leading cloud encryption solution, and shortly afterward, we transitioned to CASB. CipherCloud was the first CASB vendor to deliver API-based DLP, threat protection, and a cloud-monitoring solution. In 2013, CipherCloud provided CASB security controls through API with DLP, threat protection and UEBA for Box and Office365.
Over time, the product expanded to provide thorough coverage of all CASB capabilities across a broad range of cloud services for email, SaaS, and IaaS. CASB remains a strategic focus with the cutting-edge capabilities of Adaptive Access Controls, UEBA, CSPM, and advanced data protection. Today, CipherCloud offers a broad range of advanced technologies, such as:
- Thorough information protection for email, SaaS, and IaaS applications inline and at rest with DLP, DRM, data discovery, classification, and encryption.
- Adaptive Access Controls and secure workspace to provide real-time continuous risk assessment utilizing a user’s context of identity, device, location, and sensitive data being accessed.
- UEBA backed with AI/ML algorithms to correlate indicators of compromise, incidents, logs, and more to enable a user risk policy for real-time automated responses.
As a testament to the ever growing and evolving customer requirements for more cloud security controls, the Gartner CASB Magic Quadrant (MQ) report has only nine vendors listed this year versus the 13 of just a year ago. That reduction is a direct reflection of increased customer requirements for advanced and centralized cloud security controls.
CipherCloud has not only maintained a presence in the report, but we have also continued to expand our CASB+ technology and are now the only visionary vendor in the MQ. Accordingly, CipherCloud has the highest rating for critical capabilities.
