Cloud Computing

Cloud computing refers to a pool of computing resources (including servers, storage, backup, applications and application programming interfaces) that are provided on-demand eliminating the need for on-site equipment, management and maintenance.

This utility model of computing covers infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS) and Software as a service (SaaS) layers. Cloud computing enables organizations to elastically increase or decrease the scale of IT operations as business demands and pay only for their usage without a fixed capital investment.  The advantages of this model are always-on service and anywhere, anytime access to computing resources.
